Cílem sympozia je prozkoumat různé podoby přítomnosti Franze Kafky, jeho osobnosti a díla v latinskoamerické literatuře. Od tématu absurdity a odcizení moderního člověka, přes vztah jedince a moci až po motiv dvojníka a fungování fantastična. V Praze se setkají přední odborníci z evropských a amerických univerzit aby diskutovali o těchto otázkách.

El simposio quiere explorar las diferentes formas de la presencia de Franz Kafka, su personalidad y su obra, en las literaturas hispanoamericanas. Desde el tema del absurdo y la alienación del hombre moderno, pasando por la relación entre el individuo y el poder, hasta el motivo del doble y el funcionamiento de lo fantástico. Destacados expertos de universidades europeas y americanas se reunirán en Praga para debatir dichos temas.

The symposium aims to explore the different forms of Franz Kafka’s presence, his personality and his work, in Latin American literatures. From the theme of the absurd and the alienation of modern man, through the relationship between the individual and power, to the motif of the double and the functioning of the fantastic. Leading experts from European and American universities will meet in Prague to discuss these isuues.
